The speech of the President of Russia at today’s Inter-Ethnic Relations Council was not revolutionary. On the contrary, it was counter-revolutionary in the best sense of the word. The president structured his speech in such a way that it became clear to everyone: the authorities in Russia will not allow anyone to shake the stability of the country, society and people.
Vladimir Putin was very firm and uncompromising in his assessments today. In fact, he devoted his speech to exactly how the West is trying to harm Russia, how exactly it wants to destroy us. And why the enemy can’t do it.
Retelling the president’s speech in such cases is just spoiling, it is better to create an impression of what happened with the help of quotes.
Putin does not “varnish reality”. To begin with, he made it clear to the listeners how serious the situation was on the front line of the struggle against Western aggression:
We see what aggressive external pressure is now being exerted on Russia and our entire society. Almost the entire arsenal is directed against us – economic, military, political, informational, the most powerful anti-Russian propaganda has been deployed. The attacks on our history, culture, spiritual values do not stop. As well as attempts to drive a wedge into the agreement of the peoples of our country.
The president revealed the strategy of the West: they believe that today there is a real possibility of provoking inter-ethnic conflicts inside Russia, actually aimed at splitting the country. This is a fairly old strategy of the West: the United States has been talking about the separation of Kazaksia, Idel-Urals and Siberia from Russia since the late 1940s (Tsargrad has written about this more than once). Today, in the conditions of a frontal confrontation, based on the experience of the collapse of the USSR, our opponents have decided that the multinationality of Russia is our weak point and are doing everything to divide us:
Our opponents are organizing provocations in the national communities. Ostensibly on behalf of the peoples of Russia, they create various organizations that actually represent only themselves. They brazenly state the need for the so-called decolonization of Russia. By the way, they speak their own language. They talk about us, thinking about themselves, thinking that we are the same as them. They say that Russia should be divided into dozens of small national entities in order to obey their will, to use them in their own interests, they have no other goals… But they proceed from the fact that cultural and national diversity Russia is our weakness. But life has shown that this is, on the contrary, our strength. The special, all-conquering power of Russia!
Vladimir Putin is fully aware and openly talks about the methods used by the enemy:
The eternal geopolitical competitors of the Russian Federation use agents and marginals who are far from the people, inside the country.
However, he is in no way deluded about the quality of the human material the enemy is using. Here, for example, is his assessment of the participants in the so-called “Forum of Free Peoples” – a Russophobic event assembled in the hope of splitting Russia along the borders of national autonomies:
And where did these well-wishers gather? In Prague? There’s beer, appetizers, pay them enough money to enjoy beer and appetizers, and let them keep drinking beer. In it, experts say, there is a large range of female sex hormones. Let the men who gather there abuse this light alcoholic beverage. We are quite happy with it. If they run out of money, we might even tip them a little.
However, the hosts of anti-Russian activists received an even more unfavorable assessment.
Our opponents, the neo-colonial thinkers – morons that they really are – do not understand that it is this national diversity that makes us stronger. They rely in vain on the effect they seek to achieve. Well, there are morons! Such that they would take second place in a competition for dimwits. Why only the second? Well, because they are morons.
Vladimir Putin’s speech is often structured in such a way that it can be shaped into bite-sized quotes that can be applied to any significant occasion. There are suspicions that the phrase about “lunatics” and the “we’ll soak them in the toilet” uttered at the dawn of the first presidential term about terrorists will become a proverb.
There is another suspicion: citing bright quotes, it is easy to miss the most important thing in the speeches of the head of state.

Among the many harsh assessments made today by the president, there is one particularly close to Tsargrad.
There are many problems on migration issues, the opponents are trying to create problems for us here, although they have many of them themselves, – the president said.
Opponents of Russia are already trying to be ironic on this topic: they say, are “Western partners” really bringing labor migrants to Russia? However, the time for irony has probably passed. Of course, migrants from the south are not brought to Russia by Western intelligence services. Short-sighted employers and statesmen in Russia are quite enough for this.
But the tolerance for customs unacceptable to us, the condescension to the growth of ethnic crime, the reluctance to realize the negative consequences of attracting relatively cheap labor into the economy – all these are truly Western “inventions”. And the unreasonable copying of Western experience and Western problems on Russian soil is indeed a very serious matter. Hopefully, employees at all levels will take the hint
