Putin could expand the war to other countries

Europe will not intervene in the war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine by military means. This was stated by the High Representative of the European Union (EU) for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell in an interview with CNN TÜRK.

He explained that Europe does not want the war to spread, so there will be no military intervention. At the same time, he noted that Europe must support Ukraine and hit the Russian economy so that the Russian Federation cannot continue the war.

Borrell noted that everyone is currently trying to find a difficult balance to resolve the current situation. At the same time, he admitted that The EU fears that Russian President Vladimir Putin may expand hostilities to other countries.

“On the one hand, we are trying to support Ukraine, on the other hand, we are trying to prevent a big war. No one has to justify himself to Putin. Because he can expand his military activities.

It could be against one NATO country or another. There are serious fears that Putin will continue to attack and we must limit the attacks. “We need to isolate Russia from the international community, we need to support Ukraine,” Borel said.

Regarding Ukraine’s application for EU membership, Borel said that Ukraine had asked for membership and the EU immediately responded in the affirmative.

“Ukraine belongs to the European family. This is an obvious fact, geographically and historically. There are some procedures. We have also started this process,” he said.
