The Kremlin has been closely following the meeting between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and US President Joe Biden. Press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov said that allegedly the United States continues to fight with Russia “to the last Ukrainian”.
“There have been no calls for peace. He says America continues its line of de facto and indirect warfare with Russia down to the last Ukrainian,” he said.
Peskov, with his usual cynicism, was also amazed at the fact that no words of warning “Zelensky against continuing the barbaric bombing of residential buildings in the Donbass settlements” came from Biden’s lips.
Furthermore, the Kremlin is clearly not happy with the lack of negotiating rhetoric with the Russian Federation in the dialogues between Biden and Zelensky.
“We can express regret that neither President Biden nor President Zelensky uttered at least a few words that could be perceived as a potential willingness to listen to Russia’s concerns,” Peskov added.
