The head of state of Russia approved a law prohibiting officials from using foreigners and using them in documents, TASS reported.

Exceptions are made for words that have no analogue in Russian. The document has already been published on the official portal of the Russian government.

The idea is to protect the uniqueness of the Russian language.

Vladimir Putin announced that words that have no analogue in Russian are about to be listed.

Dictionaries and reference books will be issued. They will be approved by the government.

It is also listed where the use of Russian is mandatory. This should be done in official correspondence, telegram address registration and user information.

A broad explanation to the staff in the administration is forthcoming.
