The re-elected president of Russia, Vladimir Putin, today began a new six-year term at the head of the country, by taking the oath of office in the ceremony that took place in the St. Andrew’s Hall in the Kremlin.
In his words, the president said that as stated in the Constitution, he will defend the interests of the citizens of Russia, of current and future generations, Prensa Latina reported.
Russia will be stronger and all the development plans for the country and each of the regions will be fulfilled, based on the unity of all nationalities, the president highlighted.
In this constantly changing world, new horizons must be opened for Russia without forgetting the values of the traditional society of the people, and highly valuing order, equality in order to do everything possible to improve the standard of living of the population, Putin recalled.
I will do everything possible to maintain the trust that the country places in me, and I will maintain the centuries-old principles of love for the country, as befits a united and great people, who will obtain victory.
“I assure you that in the future the interests and security of the people of Russia will continue to be paramount to me,” concluded the head of state.
