“And this year we normalized our macroeconomic policy so that the budget is in surplus. We not only achieved this, but also tightened monetary policy,” Putin added.

Putin also touched on the topic of the crisis in the regional energy markets. According to him, these events showed how important the stable operation of the energy sector of the economy is.

According to the Russian president, the stability of the world energy markets depends directly on the responsibility of the producer and the consumer.

Earlier, the State Duma in the first reading approved the draft federal budget for 2022 and for the planning period 2023 and 2024. The second reading will be held on November 23.

In 2022, 3.7 trillion rubles were allocated for development, in 2023 – 4 trillion, in 2024 – 4.1 trillion rubles.
