Russian troops, according to Putin, are already using the new S-500 systems, and Sarmat missiles will be put on combat duty by the end of the year.
Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Tuesday, June 21, that the S-500 complexes began to enter the Russian troops.
And at the end of the year, according to him, the first Sarmat ballistic missile will be put on combat duty.
“Successful testing of the Sarmat heavy intercontinental ballistic missile has been carried out. It is planned that the first such complex will be put on combat duty at the end of the year,” he said.
Recall that Russia for the first time announced Sarmat missile launch in April, claiming it was the world’s most powerful and longest-range missile.
Recently, the media reported that Russia used up most of its military potential in the first 100 days of the war and is now forced to transfer old tanks from the Far East.
