Russian President Vladimir Putin has achieved direct election for a sixth term after achieving more than half of the votes cast in the presidential elections held between Friday and Sunday, according to official data that is still provisional.

The Central Electoral Commission has reported that after counting 57.37 percent of the votes, Putin has obtained 87.17 percent support, which represents 50.06 percent of the total votes cast.

The data, released by the Central Election Commission and collected by public television RBC, places Nikolai Jaritonov in second place (4.17 percent), followed by Vladislav Davankov (4.07 percent) and Leonid Slutski (3.15 percent). hundred).

The president of the Moscow Electoral Commission, Olga Kirilova, has announced that Putin has won the capital with 89.1 percent support, followed by Davankov (4.4 percent), Jaritonov (3.3 percent ) and Slutski (3.2 percent).

Also noteworthy is the support achieved by Putin in Lugansk (94.12 percent), Kherson (88.12 percent), Donetsk (95.23 percent), Yakutia (87.79 percent), Khabarovsk (80.06 percent percent) or Chukotka (90.49 percent).

Regarding participation, the Central Election Commission has indicated that until 8:00 p.m. Moscow time the participation has been 74.22 percent.
