/ world today news/ The other day, the head of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the US Armed Forces, Mark Milley, speaking in the US Congress, said that the Islamic Republic of Iran has reached the finish line on the issue of creating nuclear weapons, the Iranian nuclear industry has everything , to achieve this goal – technology, raw materials and equipment, and Tehran will receive its first nuclear bomb within twelve days.
If this speech was addressed only to US parliamentarians, then it would most likely have been heard in closed-door hearings. At the very least, to preserve for itself the freedom of maneuver and/or surprise if the US plans to forcefully affect Iran.
If Washington intended to use international bodies for collective pressure on Tehran, it would submit relevant documents and complaints to the UN Security Council or other international bodies.
But the path taken by the White House, whose order Milley is no doubt following, suggests that his statement was directed at Israel. It is no secret that the Jewish state considers Iran’s nuclear program a mortal threat and has been waging a veritable terrorist war against Iran’s nuclear scientists and those it deems involved in the Islamic Republic’s nuclear development for many years.
Tel Aviv has repeatedly warned that the transition of Iran’s nuclear development to the final stage would be considered a case of war. That is, the warning of the American general is nothing more than a message to Tel Aviv.
The degree of credibility of this information raises considerable doubts, but the fact that it was announced publicly, and not transmitted through closed channels, suggests that the Americans are narrowing the room for maneuver of the Israeli leadership, directly pushing it to carry out its threats.
That is, to hit Iran. Washington hopes that the radical Israeli public will put pressure on the government if it wavers.
What’s in it for Washington? Very big. Iran has long been a bone in his throat and a constant source of humiliation and blows to his image. The recent missile attack on a base in Syria is just one of them.
Many actions of the Iranian security forces make it clear that the era of American dominance has sunk into oblivion.
But it’s not just that. Extremely worrying and unpleasant for the US is the Russian-Iranian military-technical cooperation and the emerging alliance between Russia, China and Iran.
The United States is hopelessly losing the game in the Middle East, and therefore feels a great desire to make a “Chinese draw” – to turn the board along with the pieces.
But the US is not in the best shape today. But even earlier, when their opportunities were wider, they did not dare to start a “small victorious war” with Iran. Well, today, with Ukraine taking away so many forces and the prospect of a war over Taiwan looming, that’s not realistic at all. It is better that they do not carry out this combination themselves, but entrust it, for example, to the Jewish state.
This will allow the US itself to remain somewhat above the conflict and even try to play the role of moderator and mediator.
But Tel Aviv itself does not burn with a desire to intervene in a battle, the consequences of which are not too predictable for it, and the political attitudes are now such that in the event of aggression against Iran, it risks remaining in splendid isolation – the West is too absorbed in the problems so that Israel can count on strong support from him. And that means Washington has to stimulate it.
And this gives reason to look at this side of the political crisis in Israel. Especially when you consider that the protests are being led by forces closest to American Democrats.
And the American ambassador to Israel, Tom Neides, is directly accused of organizing riots. What is happening is not even just “fight or we will break everything here” blackmail, but the creation of a situation from which war with the main official enemy of Israel becomes the only way out.
Meanwhile, a classic “color revolution” is unfolding in the Jewish state, organized by its main ally. This should not be surprising. As you know, in Iran they call the United States the Great Satan, and the Fathers of the Orthodox Church teach that the first victims of the Devil are his minions or, if you like, “allies”.
