Pusha T has stepped down as president of Kanye West’s record label, GOOD Music.
The rapper, real name Terrence Thornton, was signed to the label in 2010 when it was under the Def Jam Recordings umbrella, and in 2015, West named him president.
But in an interview with XXL magazine, Pusha revealed that he left the organization following a series of anti-Semitic comments made by the controversial artist in recent months.
“We started working together in 2010. So my relationship with him has never been like anyone else’s in regards to the filter. I’ve never had a filter with him,” she said. “I’ve always said what I think. People also have to remember. type”.
Pusha went on to point out that he hasn’t spoken to Kanye since he went on tour earlier this year.
“I just expressed myself. I express myself to him a lot. He expressed his thoughts to me. And he hung up on me and said, ‘Thanks. I know you don’t agree with me, but you never kill me in public. time to do it,'” the 45-year-old recalled.
Elsewhere in the chat, Pusha clarified that he’s still with Def Jam.
“I’m in Def Jam. I have a 50/50 company with Def Jam. For my music and for my label,” he said.
