The Purple Party reported this Thursday that it elected the tax lawyer Luis Durán as its new president in a “democratic and transparent” process, this appointment is given after the resignation of former presidential candidate Julio Guzmán from the aforementioned position.
The new president is expected to give a public statement at 4:30 in the afternoon this Thursday at the party’s headquarters, located at Pasaje García Calderón 117, Miraflores.
Durán, who topped list 1, beat Narescka Culqui, who topped list 2. On his social networks, Culqui accepted the results and asked the party’s militants for unity.
