Purdy leads San Francisco to the divisional round of the NFL playoffs

The San Francisco 49ers have continued their winning streak and are third in the divisional playoffs after the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs.

Head Coach Kyle Shanahan’s team won their eleventh game in a row, beating the Seattle Seahawks 41-23 (16-17).

San Francisco quarterback Brock Purdy, who originally only started the season as the third quarterback for the 49ers, turned up the heat in the second half.

Purdy passed Christian McCaffrey, Elijah Mitchell and Deebo Samuel for a touchdown each and earned one with a quarterback sneak. Overall, the seventh-round pick of the 2022 draft delivered 18 passes to the man for 332 yards.

For the Seahawks, Geno Smith had two touchdowns, serving DK Metcalf in both cases – the first for a 14:13 lead. Smith provided 253 yards on 25 of 35 passes with his passes. In the second half he also made an interception.

The 49ers are expecting another home game in the Divisional Round, in which they will face the winner of the Dallas Cowboys game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (live on ProSieben and in the live stream on the night from Monday to Tuesday from 2:00 a.m.) or the Minnesota Vikings meet.
