Purchasing Pertalite using the MyPertamina application, what about the prohibition on using cellphones at gas stations?

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Government and PT Pertamina currently working on a revision related to the technical distribution of subsidized fuel oil (BBM), namely: Solar and Pertalite. The plan is that the distribution of Solar and Pertalite will use digital services MyPertamina.

On the other hand, the public has been prohibited from using cellular phones at gas stations. Then, what about the rules and security for purchasing BBM through the MyPertamina application which is accessed via a cellular phone?

Acting Corporate Secretary of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, SH C&T Pertamina Irto Ginting said, payments through digital applications or using cellular phones can now be done. However this payment method is not carried out near the nozzle.

“Currently, payments can also be made using HP. But it’s not done near the nozzle,” Irto told Kompas.comThursday (2/5/2022).

Basically, the purchase of fuel with the MyPertamina digitization system is carried out to anticipate repeated purchases of fuel.

Irto said that later the implementation of the implementation of this new rule would be carried out prior to socialization to ensure that the public had access to MyPertamina services.

The plan to use MyPertamina in purchasing Solar and Pertalite is still being prepared. Irto explained that in the revised Presidential Regulation 191 of 2014, Pertamina also focused on determining the criteria for subsidized fuel recipients.

“Currently, the criteria for subsidy recipients are still finalizing through the revision of Presidential Regulation 191. The supporting infrastructure is also being prepared,” he stressed.
