Massive interest in stock market speculation adversely affects small investors trading through the Revolut platform. The slowdown concerns in particular the companies Gamestop and AMC, where from entering the trading order to the actual purchase or sale of the share according to some Reddit users may expire even more than an hour.
Revolut in trading calculates the current price when executing a transaction, not the price when entering. Due to the high volatility of shares, a long delay can also mean a significant loss for sellers, because, for example, AMC shares lost almost a quarter of their value within an hour of opening (falling from $ 17 to a minimum of $ 13.63).
For buyers, on the other hand, it could mean a reduction in loss, because they wanted to buy shares at a higher price than now. According to Reddit users, purchases of other stocks are also slowing down.
