Pupils from Sarajevo visit Kanti Luzern

“More reserved and tired”: This is how schoolgirls from Sarajevo experience the Swiss

Pupils from Bosnia-Herzegovina are currently visiting Lucerne. The planning of the day led to a small culture shock – but this was quickly overcome.

“In Sarajevo, you can afford a whole breakfast for five francs,” says a student in English. She comes from Bosnia and stands at the front of the auditorium of the Kanti Alpenquai Lucerne. On Monday afternoon, together with her classmates, she explains to schoolchildren from Switzerland what makes the Bosnian capital special. They are part of a cultural exchange program run by the canton school and the partner school “Druga Gimnazija” and supported by the Movetia Foundation.
