Choral Festival in a remote format so that every child and young person who has participated in the holiday process for several years can present their performance in video format.
The common program of the festival consists of various events in choir singing, vocal music, instrumental music, dance, visual and visual plastic art, folklore. They are filmed and broadcast on Latvian Television (LTV) and other digital platforms.
Participants from any one to the number allowed in the country at that time will be able to participate in any celebration. During the celebration, the strategy of the “bubble” will be followed, as well as the celebration will take place as close as possible to the participants’ place of residence. MES offers that during the song and dance festival this year there will be no centralized rehearsal and no long rehearsal process. Also, children’s camps will be able to make video recordings collectively, while in a favorable epidemiological situation in September or October, a celebration could take place in person.
Concert video stories, event videos, interviews, virtual greetings, montages, LTV and Latvian Radio (LR) additional content broadcasts are presented to the general public through the mass media, including the website “www.nacgavilet.lv”, but the events will be documented by electronic media .
LETA has already reported that organizing the 12th Latvian School Youth Song and Dance Festival at the end of this summer could cost the state budget 2,046,967 euros.
The Ministry of Education and Science informed that most of the amount or 882,875 euros is planned for artistic and technical support, including copyright, registration and registration of participants, printed works, 567,872 euros are planned to be paid to artistic, administrative and technical staff, artists, performers, authors, directors EUR 498,820 for LTV and EUR 32,600 for LR for the provision of audiovisual and audio transmission and documentation.
In addition to testing and personal protective equipment, 64,800 euros will be allocated from the allocated state budget.
According to the information provided by the municipal coordinators, in mid-May, 2,090 teams with 40,049 participants were preparing for the festival.
The next Latvian School Youth Song and Dance Festival is planned for 2025.
