Two officers from the Orange County Police Department in Florida have been jailed for their behavior over the death of American actor Bob Saget. The two shared information about Saget’s death, breaking the news before the comedian’s wife could be officially notified.
According to the New York Post one of the officers told his brother that Saget had died. This brother then shared the information on Twitter. The other officer was not on duty himself on January 9, but heard from his colleagues about the 65-year-old’s death Full Housestar and told several friends.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Office was soon flattened by the media, while Saget’s wife Kelly Rizzo waited for information about her husband, whom she was unable to reach that Sunday.
Authorities concluded from an investigation in his hotel room that the comedian probably fell overnight and hit the marble bathroom floor with his head. He underestimated his injuries, just went to bed and died in his sleep.
It was not disclosed what punishment the officers received.
