Pukkelpop announced five new names from its poster on Tuesday. Stormzy, Paul Kalkbrenner, The Hives, Rare Akuma and Antoon 2 will travel to Kiewit in August. The organization emphasizes once again ‘that it is accompanied’ to make the festival corona-proof. Pukkelpop is scheduled from 19 to 22 August.

On Sunday evening Stormzy will play his UK make-up on the Main Stage. On Saturday, the Berlin house icon Paul Kalkbrenner will close the main stage. That same day, The Hives play at Pukkelpop for the fifth time. Their debut in Kiewit dates from 2001. Rare Akuma and Antoon 2 also make their Pukkelpop debut, on Friday and Saturday respectively in the Dance Hall.
Pukkelpop previously announced the first names on the poster. Liam Gallagher will also make his Pukkelpop debut next month. Other big names include Editors, Anne-Marie, Marshmello, Balthazar and dEUS. The last names for this edition will follow soon, according to the organization.
Full edition with vaccination passport
In the meantime, the first works on the festival site have started. The festival in Kiewit aims for a full edition with 66,000 visitors per day. According to the organization, there would be no social distancing or mouth masks at Pukkelpop. Festival-goers should be able to show a vaccination passport or be tested.
Pukkelpop 2021 will of course also be the edition of safety first, modalities and protocols. ‘In good and thorough consultation with the competent authorities, the organization is being guided towards August. The last straight line has been started.’
