A few hours after the murder of former Governor Aristóteles Sandoval, and a few weeks after the murder of real estate businessman Felipe Tomé, the Municipal President of Puerto Vallarta Arturo Dávalos assures that this tourist destination is safe.
The mayor assures that the events that occurred in Puerto Vallarta have been misinterpreted.
“That Puerto Vallarta is safe. Tell them that there are many people who are misinterpreting these situations that have occurred here. However, Puerto Vallarta remains safe and we will continue to work together all together the federal government, the state and municipal governments to provide the necessary security to all who visit us and to all who live here.
For his part, the coordinator of the security cabinet Ricardo Sánchez Beruben reiterated that despite these violent events, the incidence of crime in Puerto Vallarta is going down. (By José Luis Escamilla)
