After being away from the stage since the beginning of last year after receiving a cancer diagnosis, Puerto Rican pianist Brenda Hopkins will perform her concert “Vivir,” which will also mark the launch of her new record production, which has the same name.
“I never cease to be impressed by the ways in which music guides me and the fact that just by letting myself go, magic happens. This album was created in 2020 and due to COVID-19 and other experiences its release was postponed, but instead of getting frustrated about it, I simply looked at the song titles and realized that this album perfectly reflects the process of life and health that I just went through,” said the artist about her album, which will premiere on Sunday, February 4 at the special reunion with her audience, at the Theater of the Inter-American University of Puerto Rico Metro Campus.
