-The head of the department recalled the importance of vaccination to prevent this disease
CITY OF PUEBLA, Pue.- In epidemiological week 39, from September 22 to 28, there were seven new infections of COVID-19 in Puebla, bringing the total to 566 cases so far this year, reported the head of the Secretary of Health, Araceli Soria Córdoba.
In a press conference by Governor Sergio Salomón, he noted that during this period there were six people hospitalized, of which one required assisted mechanical ventilation. In addition, two men, one 92 and the other 81 years old, without complete vaccination schedules and with comorbidities, died from this disease.
In this sense, he recalled the importance of vaccination to prevent serious damage from this condition, and pointed out that the age groups to be vaccinated are: lactating women, pregnant women after 12 weeks of gestation, as well as those in the postpartum period (who must be at least 6 months after receiving their last dose), people over 18 years of age, people 60 years of age and over, comorbid patients and medical personnel.
