Publisher Take-Two Interactive announced a significant increase in expected revenue in fiscal 2025 and beyond. It is assumed that such predictions may be due to the release of a major game like Grand Theft Auto VI.
In a press release, Take-Two representatives noted that they have high hopes for fiscal 2025, which will begin in April of calendar 2024. The publishing house expects that revenue for the specified period will be $8 billion. As the authors of the IGN publication noted, last year this figure amounted to a record $5.4 billion for the company.
Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick, answering a question about a possible release of GTA VI in fiscal 2025, did not refute or confirm media assumptions. At the same time, the head of the publishing house notedthat the company usually does not publish unsubstantiated forecasts and does so only if it is completely confident in them.
Rockstar Games confirmed the development of GTA VI in February 2022. Officially, the company did not disclose any details about the game, however, rumors about a future release, including plot details, repeatedly appeared on the network. In addition, on September 18, there was a massive leak of information about the title, as a result of which a 17-year-old teenager was arrested as part of an investigation into a hacking case.
