The Public Treasury charged the accused of the murder of the Sudanese girl, Janet Juma, with committing the crimes of kidnapping, criminally assaulting her, and killing her on purpose.

Cassation lawyer Muhammad Salem said that the crimes charged to the accused in this case are punishable by death in the Penal Code.

Salem told “Masrawy” that the accused will be tried for 3 crimes: kidnapping, premeditated murder, and indecent assault, which are the charges confirmed by the autopsy report.

Article 268 of the Penal Code states that anyone who violates a person’s dignity by force or threat, or who attempts to do so, shall be punished with hard labor for a period of between three and seven years, if the age of the person who committed the crime is the crime. Article 267: The period of punishment may be extended to the maximum specified for temporary hard labor, and if these two conditions are fulfilled together, a sentence of life imprisonment with hard labor may be imposed.

Article 269 also states that “Any person who violates the honor of a boy or girl who has not yet reached eighteen years of Gregorian age, without force or threat, shall be punished with imprisonment, and unless his age goes beyond twelve full Gregorian years. age or the person from whom the crime occurred was among those specified in the second paragraph of Article (267), the penalty will be aggravated in prison for a period of not less than seven years.

The Public Treasury sent the person accused of killing the Sudanese girl, Janet Jumaa, to a competent criminal court, in Case No. 5901 of 2024, third crimes, Nasr City.

The Public Treasury had received information that the body of the victim – who was ten months old – had been found in one of the public parks next to her residence, so they took the initiative to move to to examine the crime scene and examine the body.

Investigations revealed that by questioning the child’s parents, the accused abducted the victim while she and her sister were having fun in front of their house, and took them to a park near her hand, where he broke her honor and killed her by suffocation.

For her part, the victim’s mother said in a live broadcast to “Masrawy” that her daughter was playing with her sister before a worker robbed her and attacked her, saying that she tried to find the child with her neighbors in the same building and next door. property, but useless.

She said: After the abduction incident, we contacted their police station, and several hours later, the victim’s body was found in one of the gardens behind the building site. a crime

The victim’s mother demanded revenge on the worker who was accused of killing and assaulting her child.
