If you buy a ticket for a SC Freiburg home game, you can use the bus and train free of charge in the area covered by the Freiburg regional transport network. Sports buses are also driving to the home games again.

For the games of the first two men’s teams of SC Freiburg, the following generally applies: The admission ticket is also the ticket for local public transport. This includes free travel to and from the stadium within the regular service of the Freiburg Regio-Verkehrsverbund (RVF) from three hours before the start of the game and until the end of the day.
After the regulation for free travel to the stadium since 1993 initially only applied to the buses and trains of Freiburger Verkehrs AG in the city of Freiburg, it was extended around 10 years ago to all buses and trains in the RVF, as the association announced. This means that those who have an SC ticket can also travel from the districts of Emmendingen and Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald free of charge. “For a small fee, which is paid with every ticket, the spectators can use the entire PNV in the RVF. Our combination ticket is a real success model from which the fans particularly benefit,” explains Dorothee Koch, Managing Director of the RVF.
The new location of the stadium and the larger crowd of spectators presented new challenges for everyone involved. “The journey to and from the city by tram is now well established,” said Oliver Benz and Stephan Bartosch, board members of Freiburger Verkehrs AG, with conviction.
The tram line 4 stops directly at the stadium and is supplemented with special trains from all directions for home games of the sports club. The trains on the Breisgau S-Bahn between Breisach and Villingen will also be reinforced as far as possible. From the stop “Messe/Universitt” it is only a 1000 meter walk to the stadium. Buses also run from the “Messe Freiburg” stop in the direction of Gundelfingen/Denzlingen. If you prefer to be mobile yourself, you can bring your own bike or use one of the Freiburg Leihrder frelo – there is a rental station directly at the stadium.
In addition to the bus, tram and train services, Sdbadenbus also offers sports buses. These run from Herbolzheim, Emmendingen, Elzach, Bleibach, Waldkirch, Ehrenkirchen, Mllheim, Heitersheim and Staufen to the Europapark stadium – “Suwonallee” stop – and back again. The outward and return journey currently costs 8 euros for adults.
