It was a first in France: this morning, the Minister of Transformation and the Public Service, Amelie de Montchalin, led a meeting with solidarity actors in Eure-et-Loir.
The government wishes to strengthen its strategy of access to public services for the most vulnerable populations, all the prefects of France will have to bring together the associations of each department in order to establish a common observation on inclusion, access to rights and the “going towards” for public services.
Taking the example of France Services reception centers and reception points, of which there are 19 in Eure-et-Loir, the Minister listened to and answered questions from associations in the department.
What problems does the population of Eure-et-Loir encounter?
“The people you meet are the people we welcome,” said Amélie de Montchalin, accompanied by the sub-prefect of Dreux, Xavier Luquet. CERFA, scholarships, disability: many topics were discussed.
Any digital approach will be unconditionally coupled with local support, via a France services space.
Mobility to public service establishments remains a problem in Eure-et-Loir, various players have said.
Rural areas and urban areas
Work with local authorities and town halls has been initiated, as recalled by John Billard, mayor and president of the Association of Rural Mayors 28, “so that town hall secretaries know how to direct the population to services”.
Karine Dorange, representative of the City of Chartres on this official trip, nevertheless regretted the absence of France Services houses in Chartres: “it is important that the State is present in urban areas, the agents also work to support the population” .
