Public search: EC cards stolen and money withdrawn: Police are looking for two perpetrators – Münster

After two EC card thefts and subsequent cash withdrawals in September 2020, the police are now publicly looking for two perpetrators. According to the police, the public prosecutor’s office had issued the decisions on the public search. The police are now hoping for clues about both perpetrators. Witnesses can call 0251/2750.

At the beginning of September 2020, a previously unknown perpetrator stole an EC card and associated pin from a 76-year-old’s mailbox. The thief then used the card several times between September 11 and 19, withdrew money and made purchases, according to a police report. There was a financial loss of around 8,000 euros.

On September 24, 2020, an unknown woman is said to have stolen the wallet and EC card from an elderly couple’s purse in a drugstore on Bahnhofstrasse. Immediately afterwards, withdrawals totaling 2000 euros were made at various ATMs in Münster.

The perpetrator is around 20 to 30 years old, slim and has long, pinned dark hair. She wore sunglasses, a black jacket,
light blue jeans and white sneakers.
