The Public Mystery (MP) is investigating the links between Pinto da Costa, president of FC Porto, and Hernâni Vaz Antunes, Bruno Macedo and Pedro Pinho, businessmen who are in the sights of justice in the context of the ‘Altice case’.
In question, according to the Morning mailis the agreement with several sports leaders who agreed to return to Pinto da Costa part of the moments charged for his intervention as intermediaries in business, among them, the contract with Altice aimed at ensuring television transmissions.
The investigation found an ‘incongruity’ in the process when «the provision of intermediation services between BM Consulting and Pesarp SA, with a view to the acquisition by Altice of television transmission rights» was carried out at a time when Altice had already «finalized negotiations with the SAD of FC Porto».
In the authorities’ sights is still a payment of 10 million euros from Altice to Bruno Macedo’s BM Consulting, half of which ended up in the company of Alexandre Pinto da Costa, son of the president of the dragons, and Pedro Pinho.
The MP also mentions that Pedro Pinho was frequently asked «to make payments for undocumented expenses in the alleged interest of FC Porto» and suspects that the businessman has carried out assignments for «Pinto da Costa’s personal sphere».
