Libreville, January 6, 2024 (AGP) – The Minister of the New information and communication technologies (NICT), Government Spokesperson, Laurence Ndong, chaired a working meeting with public media managers at Georges-Rawiri House (headquarters of national television and radio) , in order to set the course for media activities for the year 2024.
In the middle of the Epiphany weekend, the Minister in charge of Communication invited to an important working session, the general directors of Gabon television, Jean Robert El Mut Moutchinga Boulingui, of the Gabonese Press Agency (AGP) , Ghislain Ruffin Etoughet Nzuet and from Radio Gabon, Claudette Okome Éworé, as well as some of their collaborators, to highlight the importance of their role in the period opening on August 30, 2023.
Surrounded by the Secretary General of the ministry, his chief of staff and other collaborators, Laurence Ndong called for a culture of effort and performance, after having congratulated them for the milestones already achieved in recent months.
This strategic meeting also laid the foundations for the media activities that will be established with the government in 2024.

The discussions also focused on several important points, including the modernization of the technological infrastructures of public media, the strengthening of the capacities of agents, in order to guarantee effective and rapid dissemination of information.
Furthermore, the member of the Government expressed his confidence in the capacity of the media to play a leading role in the construction of a well-informed and engaged society.
Public media managers, for their part, welcomed the commitment of the Minister of ICT to a responsible press.
