Riyadh: A public holiday has been announced in connection with the National Day of Saudi Arabia. The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development announced that September 23 will be a public holiday for private sector employees and non-profit sector employees.
In this regard, the Ministry asked employers to comply with Section 24 of the Labor Code. Also, September 24 will be a holiday for students in schools and universities across the country. Students are given leave to participate in the celebrations as part of the National Day.

Dubai: A helicopter crashed in the UAE during a training flight. A Bell 212 medium helicopter took off from Al Maktoum International Airport in Dubai and crashed during a training flight.
Two pilots from Egypt and South Africa were in the helicopter. The Air Accident Investigation Sector of the General Aviation Authority (GCAA) received information about the accident at 8.30 pm on Thursday, September 7, 2023. The helicopter, owned by Aerogulf and registered A6-ALD, crashed into the sea during a night training flight with two pilots on board. The search and rescue team recovered the wreckage. Headquartered in Dubai World Central (Al Maktoum), Aerogulf has a fleet of Leonardo AW139, Bell 212 and Bell 206 helicopters.
