The director of Cabinet of Public Health, doctor Robinson Santos, warned this Thursday that a vaccination day that the Santiago city council announced that it would carry out and in which it promises the payment of a bonus of one thousand pesos for each person who is present to the council to be vaccinated against COVID-19.
Santos clarified that vaccination is going at a good pace in all vaccination posts throughout the province and that in recent days increased 10 percentage points. He assures that the vaccination centers have been massively attended without being offered any payment or incentive in between.
“We have not made any kind of agreement to give away bonuses, far from it. We told you before that if your employees need to be vaccinated, we will install a point for them, set a specific time and give them special treatment so that all those employees can come and get vaccinated, ”Santos said.

He argued that the necessary health personnel to carry out this operation will not be authorized because there are already other points located around the town hall.
“No, because we have several points, even near the town hall and due to the population study, we do a daily survey where we know where points are needed and where they are not needed,” he said.
In Santiago, 66.5 percent of the population has applied the first dose of the coronavirus vaccine; and 53.9 percent already have the double dose, according to the epidemiological report until this Thursday.
