Santo Domingo .- The Ministry of Public Health reported this Saturday 19 new cases of covid-19 registered in the country in the last 24 hours after processing 922 samples.
The agency’s bulletin specified that there are 204 active cases, all of them ambulatory, since there are no reported admissions to health centers due to the disease.
The daily positivity rate is 2.97%, while that of the last four weeks was set at 1.72%.
Public Health data confirms the downward trend of covid-19 in the country in recent weeks.
Of the 19 registered cases, five occurred in the Santo Domingo province, the same number in Santiago, four in the National District, and one in each of the provinces of La Vega, Puerto Plata, San Pedro de Macorís, Peravia, and Hermanas Mirabal. .
Since the beginning of the pandemic in the country, 660,468 cases have been registered, of which 655,880 have recovered. The number of deceased remains at 4,384.
