Public function dismisses deputy director of Conade for improper provision of services

The Ministry of Public Function announced this Thursday that it determined to dismiss the deputy director of Quality for Sports of the National Commission for Physical Culture and Sports (Conade), Israel Benítez Morteo, after failing to comply with obligations contemplated in the General Law of Administrative Responsibilities.

The Area of ​​Responsibilities of the Internal Control Body at Conade accredited the improper provision of lodging, food and use of the Villas Tlalpan facilities, to people who were not high-performance athletes and were not part of the National System of Physical Culture and Sports (Sinade) or the National Registry of Physical Culture and Sports (Renade).

The services were requested by two public servants subject to the supervision of the deputy director of Quality for Sport, who was imposed the sanction taking into account recidivism and hierarchical level, as well as the appropriate conditions for individuals who assume public tasks. .

Israel Benítez was always the confidant of the Conade holder and was considered the brain for the final preparation of the athletes at the last Pan American Games in Lima 2019.

Benítez Morteo also carried out a modern method of data and statistics through various analytics, which projected the best performance of Mexico in the Olympic Games in the next Tokyo 2021 fair.

“Public service should not be taken as a privilege, but as one of the highest social responsibilities. It requires probity, professionalism and commitment to the care of public resources, “said Irma Eréndira Sandoval, secretary of the Public Function.

The official also commented that, in the current government, public servants must have moral courage and technical training to carry out their duties, in order to offer a good service to citizens.
