At the end of 2018, the City launched a call for projects for the installation and operation of a photovoltaic park on the site of the old landfill located next to the waste reception center. This approach was initiated in order to develop degraded land, not suitable for agricultural cultivation and not suitable for building.
The Total Quadran company won the call for projects and is now working on setting up this photovoltaic park in partnership with the Tecsol design office and the Occitanie regional energy climate agency. Various technical studies, aiming in particular to analyze the environmental impact of the project, have been carried out since the beginning of 2019. The start of the site and the commissioning of the photovoltaic park are scheduled for 2023 (see box).
Informing and raising the awareness of Stéphanois about the challenges of this project are essential components for the success of this approach. It is with this in mind that a public permanence is offered throughout the day of tomorrow wednesday at the Jean-Jaurès room. Anyone from Stéphane will be able to come and meet the Total Quadran teams and discuss this major project with them. The permanence is offered in the Jean-Jaurès room, rue de la République, tomorrow Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Questions can be asked on centralesolaireelbosc @total-quadran.com
