Public bathroom next to the Municipal Theater – Nacionales

Remains of all kinds of garbage are found in that place, on Alberdi street, almost President Franco.

Wallets, food scraps, plastics, mattresses, cutlery, fecal remains and a foul smell can be perceived in the site, which is converted into “a public bathroom”.

It is unfortunate that the surroundings of such an important cultural and artistic point of the capital are kept in these conditions.

It is also striking that it is not acted upon in this situation. The theater is just a few steps from the National Police Command and Palma Street, where tourists pass during their stay.

The history of this place dates back to 1843, but it changed its administrative destination to one related to the arts in 1853, when Maestro F. Dupuis received a license to teach music there. Two years later it became a theater. The inauguration was on November 4, 1855.
