Movie theaters in New York finally reopened after nearly a year of being behind closed doors.
However, there are restrictions due to the pandemic:
- The number of visitors allowed in each room is up to 25% of the capacity or 50 people, depending on which figure is lower.
- Spectators must wear a mask at all times unless they are consuming drinks or food.
- Some cinemas do not yet offer the option to buy food.
- A specific seat will be assigned to each person.
- Enclosures must meet air purification standards.
In other parts of New York state, movie theaters began operating at 25% capacity since October.
In the case of the AMC cinema chain, a strict cleaning protocol is being carried out in the rooms. Which implies a long period between each function.
