Recreational resort operators must apply for new authorization and approval from the district commissioner of Para. This rule now also applies to private resorts with a seaside resort. After application, we go through a process of checking compliance with the applicable conditions, which can guarantee the safety and hygiene of visitors.
A district commissioner’s approval is required to function as a public or private recreation center.
All valid permissions from the recreational resorts will expire on August 14, 2021. The commissariat will give the resorts the opportunity to request a new permission from Tuesday 27 July to Friday 07 August.
Upon request, the various security services will; the fire brigade, police, administrative services, the Bureau for Public Health Care (BOG) and the Maritime Authority Suriname (MAS), visit the places to provide guidelines for safety and hygiene.
