The police tweeted that a bang had been reported at 1.16 on Saturday night and moved out with several patrols.
Marks were found on a wall in the area, probably due to shots fired by a handgun.
– We have not been notified that any people are injured, nor do we know what may have been the cause of the incident, said operations manager Sven Christian Lie in the Oslo police district to NTB shortly after.
– Luckily no one was hurt
On Saturday morning, the police say that they take the case very seriously.
– It was luck that no one was injured when it was probably shot at a restaurant in Greenland on Saturday night, says Anders Johnsrud, crime leader in the Oslo police, to NRK. There were people inside the place, and many witnesses.
No arrests have been made, but the police are working on the basis of a hypothesis that the shooting was targeted in connection with a known conflict between criminal gangs in Oslo, according to the state channel.
Ask for tips
To Avisa Oslo says Johnsrud that they have talked to people who were at the pub.
– There are many witnesses with whom we have contact. We have now completed the technical investigation, but there are many investigative steps left. We are still interested in tips from the public. Fortunately, no one was injured, and that is the most important thing, he says.
According to the newspaper, one can see traces of what looks like at least four gunshot wounds, both on and by the window frame and on the door frame.
