The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) has announced the winners for the central working area of Jabung (WK) and Paus WK. The Jabung Tengah WK auction was won by a consortium formed by PT Cipta Niaga Gemilang and PT Rukun Raharja Tbk, while the Paus CA auction was won by Blue Sky Paus Ltd.
“On behalf of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, we will announce the winners of the 2022 Oil & Gas Direct Bid Auction for Jabung Tengah CA and Paus CA,” said Oil & Gas Director General Tutuka Ariadji, Wednesday (28/12/2022).
He explained, Jabung Tengah WK has an area of 8,728.34 km2. This working area is located on land and sea covering the regions of Riau, Jambi and the Riau archipelago.
For your information, PT Rukun Raharja Tbk is a public company with share code RAJA. As mentioned from its official website, RAJA is an integrated upstream energy supplier which was established on 24th December 1993. One of the shareholders of RAJA is known to be Puan Maharani’s husband, Happy Hapsoro.
Launched by RTI, Hapsoro became a shareholder with 28.51% ownership, then Sentosa Bersama Mitra 32.12%, PT Basis Utama Prima 12.22%, the community 27.14%.
Estimated oil and gas resources in Central Jabung CA are 200 MMBOE. “The potential for oil and gas resources is estimated to be about 200 million barrels of oil equivalent,” she said.
The signing bonus for this area of work is US$150k and a definite work commitment of US$16.55m.
Meanwhile, WK Paus is located in the eastern Natuna Sea with an area of 8,214 km2. The estimated gas resource for WK Paus is 2.5 tcf.
“The auction starts on November 8, 2022 and ends on December 9, 2022,” he said.
WK’s signature bonus is US$200,000 with a definite commitment of US$14.65 million.
