Jakarta –
President Director of PT Roatex Indonesia Toll System (RITS), Attila Keszeg revealed that the total investment realization for the multi lane free flow (MLFF) system has reached more than IDR 1 trillion. The total investment from this contactless toll road project is a total of US$ 300 million or Rp 4.5 trillion.
“(Realized) approximately more than Rp. 1 trillion has been spent (for MLFF). Approximately around US$ 100 billion,” he said when met at the Hungarian Embassy Building in Jakarta, Monday (10/6/2023).
Of this amount, PT RITS has used it to buy equipment and company operations. He emphasized that the investment money also came from the Hungarian government.
“We have bought a lot of equipment. Don’t forget that we are also using Hungarian government money. So you are not the only ones asking,” he said.
As for the implementation of the MLFF, the Indonesian government did not spend a dime. Indonesia will even receive MLFF technology after PT RITS’s 9-year concession period expires.
“This MLFF technology will be fully transferred to Indonesia,” he added.
In operation, the Indonesian government will withdraw money from service users. PT RITS will get reimbursement every month from the Indonesian government. RITS itself is part of Roatex Zrt, a company from Hungary.
In the previous meeting, Attila said the investment realization of US$ 300 billion for MLFF had reached more than 30%. The funds are allocated to purchase vehicles, equipment, software, data storage, operations, and others.
The price of the Mobile Control Unit (MCU) is estimated at US$ 20,000. Meanwhile, supporting equipment such as cameras and others also costs around US$ 20,000.
“The car costs US$ 20 thousand dollars. Just the car. Equipment, cameras, it costs US$ 40 thousand. We have spent a lot of money. We have bought 4 thousand cameras, we will install them on the toll road. Big, professional cameras,” he added .
