PT Pertamina (Persero) will launch Pertamax Green 92 next year. This product is Pertalite mixed with ethanol with octane 92.
This product will replace Pertalite. This is because next year Pertamina will only sell three products, namely Pertamax Green 92, Pertamax Green 95 and Pertamax Turbo.
Main Director of Pertamina, Nicke Widyawati, explained that her party had implemented the Blue Sky Program, where in the first stage, subsidized fuel, which was originally RON 88, became RON 90.
“We will continue this according to the plan for the second phase of the Blue Sky Program where we will increase subsidized fuel from RON 90 to RON 92,” he said at Commission VII Jakarta, Wednesday (30/8/2023).
He said this was in accordance with the provisions of the Ministry of Environment and Forestry which stated that the minimum circulating fuel was RON 91.
“This is very fitting. One environmental aspect is reducing carbon emissions. Second, we can fulfill the bio-energy mandatory bioethanol. Third, we reduce gasoline imports,” he said.
On that occasion, he asked Commission VII for support because next year his party would issue the Pertamax Green 92 product.
“So that next year there will only be 3 products, the first is Pertamax Green 92 by mixing RON 90 with 7% ethanol we call e7, the second is Pertamax Green 95 mixing Pertamax with 8% ethanol, the third is Pertamax Turbo,” he said.
