PT KAI (Persero) exhibited its 3rd generation luxury train seats and facial recognition boarding facilities at the Hub Space
Hub Space The event, which was held in conjunction with National Transportation Day, was held at JCC Jakarta from Friday-Saturday 29-30 September and Sunday 1 October.

The luxury train seats on display are predominantly brown. These seats can be said to be very comfortable, like the seats on an airplane.
There are several buttons on the chair. This button adjusts the tilt of the chair, even reaching a 180 degree angle. This way, passengers can sleep comfortably.
This chair is also equipped with a folding table and lamp. Apart from that, passengers don’t need to worry about their cellphone running out of battery, because this seat is also equipped with a USB plug.
Another facility on display is boarding face recognition. With this facility, passengers can board the train platform using only their face. The facial recognition boarding facility itself is available at the South gate of Gambir Station.

Face recognition boarding gate is a boarding service facility in the ticket inspection area which is equipped with a camera to identify and validate a person’s identity through a facial scan whose data has been integrated with the passenger’s ticket data in the KAI boarding system.
The boarding process is more practical because passengers only need to scan their faces through the face recognition gate and no longer need to show their ID card or printed proof of ticket.
Customers only need to register or register once, either on the Access by KAI application or at the station. The Access application is the new face of the KAI Access application, customers only need to update the application.
One of the new features that customers can enjoy in this application is Face Recognition Registration. Customers can register for the Face Recognition service by clicking the “Account” menu then clicking “Register Face Recognition” and just follow the steps according to the instructions provided.
At Gambir Station, the registration process can be done at the Check In Counter (CIC) machine or through special service officers in the south hall area. The registration process cannot be represented, just bring your e-KTP. The registration process can be carried out directly by attaching the e-KTP to the reader device then placing your right or left index finger on the scanner on the e-KTP reader.
