Jakarta –
PT Angkasa Pura I has officially become the operator Airport Kediri which was built by PT Gudang Garam Tbk. In this collaboration, Angkasa Pura I (AP I) Kel will be the operator for 30 years.
“(Operator) 30 years,” said Angkasa Pura I Main Director Faik Fahmi in Jakarta, Wednesday (12/4/2023).
Faik explained that 100% of the airport development was carried out by Gudang Garam. His party did not issue capital expenditure (capex) for the airport because Angkasa Pura I was only the operator.
“That’s 100% capex from them, our position as operators,” he said.
He continued, the presence of Kediri Airport will strengthen the capacity of airports in East Java. At this time alone, the capacity of Juanda Airport has reached 20 million passengers and the trend in the future will increase.
“Before the pandemic alone, there were 20 million, and the future trend is that the need for airports in East Java needs to be increased, the option is in Kediri,” he said.
In addition, the presence of the airport is also to accommodate the fairly large cargo market in East Java. He added, it will benefit from profit sharing.
“Yes, there are management fees, revenue sharing, like that,” he said.
