A man armed with a knife injured three people at the Montauban hospital center on Wednesday March 29.
It was around 1:15 p.m. that the facts took place when a patient who had just been released from police custody at the Montauban police station went to the health establishment to be hospitalized in psychiatry.
As no place was available, the man was refused hospitalization. Without knowing precisely how things degenerated, the individual who was armed with a knife allegedly attacked a laboratory assistant.
“She is suffering from a serious back injury,” said an agent very shocked by the events. Aged 43, this hospital worker was taken care of first by stretcher-bearers whose premises are near the scene of the attack, then by the medical team of SAMU 82.
“She is currently in the operating room”, testifies a nurse. Two other people, a 50-year-old woman and a 57-year-old man, were also injured when he came to the aid of this laboratory worker.
The suspect was arrested shortly after in incredible circumstances that we will detail later. “The respondent was injured during these events,” said Deputy Prosecutor Lisa Bergerau, confirming that the 25-year-old was again taken into custody.
