It is unknown exactly how much money Liverpool will pay for the 23-year-old Gakpo. The clubs are not making any announcements about the transfer fee. According to it Eindhoven Dagblad it is about 50 million euros.
General manager Marcel Brands just wants to say that there is a record transfer. Hirving Lozano is so far the most expensive outgoing player ever. The Mexican went to Serie A club Napoli in 2019 for 45 million euros. Gakpo will travel to England on Monday to complete the necessary formalities.

Gakpo was the protagonist of the Orange at the World Cup in Qatar.
