PSV-Ajax temporarily shut down due to a medical emergency in the stands
The man who was resuscitated in the stands last Sunday during PSV-Ajax (5-2) is doing well. This is what the 45-year-old from Bladel told Omroep Brabant.
After about thirty minutes of football, the match was stopped for a few minutes due to CPR in the stands. The man being treated had suffered an epileptic fit.
Club doctors from both PSV and Ajax provided medical assistance. “It is very nice and special. Especially that doctors from such an opponent immediately help me. So thank you very much,” Jason Sol told the broadcaster.
Bummer about the timing
Sol was then carried to an ambulance amid loud applause from the audience. “You are taken out of the stands and the match is stopped. Afterwards I am surprised. We are in such a stadium with 38,000 people, so something can always happen. I don’t know what I think about that. so much attention goes.”
Sol was released from the hospital this afternoon and says he is doing well. As a football fan, he is especially disappointed by the timing.
For PSV, the best part only came after halftime. The Eindhoven team fought through the match and won 5-2 against their great rival. “When I had the epileptic attack it was still 1-1. That’s a shame, I missed a very exciting match.”
