JAKARTA – Member of the Executive Committee PSSIHasani Abdulgani, confirmed that Jordy Wehrman no longer on the list of candidates for naturalization. According to Hasani, Wehrmann rejected the offer to defend the Indonesian national team.
As is known, Wehrmann’s name seems to have been unheard of lately. Because, PSSI is more focused on completing the naturalization process of three other players, namely Jordi Amat, Sandy Walsh, and Shayne Pattynama.
Now, Hasani reveals the latest facts, that Wehrmann is no longer included in the plans of PSSI’s naturalization players. Therefore, PSSI is now focusing on players who are willing to defend the Indonesian national team.
“Yes, he (Wehrmann) is not ready, Mas. Jordi Wehrman is temporarily no longer a target,” said Abdulgani when contacted by MNC Portal Indonesia (MPI), Thursday (21/4/2022).
This is of course unfortunate because Wehrmann can be an additional ammunition in the Indonesian national team’s midfield. Moreover, his appearance with the Swiss club, FC Lucerne, is quite consistent.
