PSP ends with gathering of almost 100 people in the center of Barcelos

The grades in the national Portuguese exam continue to rise and more than 90% of schools were positive in the average of their students’ ratings, according to an analysis carried out by Lusa using data from the Ministry of Education.

The Santa Cecília Academy of Music, in Lisbon, leads the ‘ranking’ prepared by Lusa, having taken only four students to exam, whose average was 17.72.

In second place in the list is a public education establishment: the 23 students of the Basic and Secondary School of Vila Cova, in Barcelos, achieved an average of 17.5 points.

Last year, 617 secondary schools took in-house students to take the national Portuguese exam and their grades went up again: 92.3% of establishments managed to have a positive average, while in the previous year the average was around 80%.

Private schools occupy the next 20 places on the list, followed by the Escola Secundária de Silves, in Faro, which occupies the 23rd place with an average of 14.29 out of 80 exams carried out by its internal students.

The average grade of the discipline that takes more students to exam – more than 55 thousand – was 11.84 points, last year, according to an analysis carried out by Lusa taking into account only the internal students who took the test in the 1st phase. .

The districts that achieved the best results were Viseu, Porto and Santarém, while the regions with the worst results were Portalegre, Açores and Setúbal.
