PSOE Urges Reinforcement of Bus Lines for Students in Lorca, Murcia, and Cartagena

The PSOE will defend this Monday in the municipal plenary session of the Águilas city council a motion in which it requests the reinforcement of bus lines between this city and those of Lorca, Murcia and Cartagena for university students and training cycles.

The Councilor for Education, Elena Casado, has said that the intercity bus is the means of transport most in demand by students, but that the offer in terms of frequencies and days is in the same “precarious situation” as in previous years.

The Águilas-Murcia interurban line depends on the General Directorate of Mobility and Coastline, of the Community of Murcia, an organization that requests immediate reinforcement, at least on the days and time slots of greatest demand, of the Águilas-Murcia bus lines , by Lorca, (MUR-26), “that guarantees equal opportunities for university students from Aguila in attending their corresponding study centers.”

The PSOE also denounces that the VAC-223 Almería-Cartagena line, as it passes through the Region of Murcia, currently dependent on the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda, is “deficient” and asks for its reinforcement until this occurs. its transfer to the Community.
