FAJAR.CO.ID, BANDUNG — PSM Makassar coach, Bernardo Tavares, strongly protested several referee decisions which resulted in his players receiving many yellow cards.
It was recorded that in the Persib Bandung match against PSM Makassar, in particular the team squad nicknamed Juku Eja received six yellow cards.
The six players who received yellow cards included Yakob Sayuri, M Arfan, Safruddin Tahar, Daffa Salman, Victor Mansaray and Ananda Raehan.
Seeing this, Bernardo Tavares admitted that he did not know and wondered the real reason why his team was shown a yellow card.
In fact, he said that the PSM Makassar players were like they were in Palestine and were currently in the middle of war.
“What I want to say is that we have no problems with Persib. “But, anyone who sees this with the statistics that we show six yellow cards, will think my team is in Palestine right now (at war),” said Bernardo Tavares in the press conference session after the match, Monday (4/12/2023).
The 43 year old coach said that on several occasions the referee did not give a yellow card to a Persib Bandung player even though the foul committed by the PSM player was almost the same.
“Look at what they (Persib) did too and the referee let it happen. “Some of the same fouls we committed were not given yellow cards,” he explained.
Tavares also mentioned the possibility of his team being shown a yellow card for facing Persib or even weakening the team because it is possible that several players will be absent against Bhayangkara FC.
