SEMARANG – PSIS Semarang make sure you qualify for the semifinals President’s Cup 2022 after defeating Bhayangkara FC in the quarter-finals, on Sunday (3/7/2022) afternoon WIB. In fact, the match is as strong as 1-1 in normal time.
Laskar Mahesa Jenar – nicknamed PSIS Semarang – was able to score the ball first against The Guardian – nicknamed Bhayangkara FC – through Wawan Febrianto (45+1′). Meanwhile, Bhayangkara FC scored a goal back through Youssef Ezzejjari (57′).
The match continued to the penalty shootout. PSIS Semarang was successful over Bhayangkara FC, winning 9-8 (10-9) in the penalty shootout.
The course of the match
First round
Starting the first half, both the PSIS Semarang Squad and Bhayangkara FC immediately applied impressive games with high tension. The two teams took turns in attacking their respective opponent’s defense areas.
Unfortunately, until the 30th minute, the opportunity that was obtained by Laskar Mahesa Jenar through Carlos Fortes and colleagues could still be well broken by the Bhayangkara FC defense line. On the other hand, Youssef Ezzejjari et al were also unable to convert their chances into opening goals for The Guardian.
